Right to Withdraw from Religious Education

At our Church of England Primary School, Religious Education (RE) is an important part of our curriculum and supports our commitment to developing children’s understanding of faith, values, and the diverse beliefs within our community.

However, parents and carers have the legal right to withdraw their child from all or part of Religious Education if they wish to do so. If you are considering withdrawal, we encourage you to discuss this with the Headteacher so we can understand your concerns and explore how we can best support your child.

If, after discussion, you still wish to withdraw your child from RE, alternative supervised activities will be arranged during these lessons.
