Admissions
The churches in the Westhoughton and Blackrod parishes are now all recording attendance in person at their churches.
How to apply for a Nursery place.
Nursery forms (available on this page or from the Main School Office) are completed after a child’s first birthday. Prospective parents are welcome to contact the school to arrange a visit.
Children attend Nursery during the year before they are due to attend the main school i.e. the year in which they have their 4th birthday. We are also able to accommodate some 3-year-olds. You are advised to contact the school for the Admission Policy, which is also available on this page. We hold meetings for new Nursery parents towards the end of the summer term to explain the process for your child starting Nursery in September.
How to apply for a Main School place.
Parents apply for a place by contacting Bolton Authority who coordinates the admissions process for all schools. Parents may apply online at www.bolton.gov.uk/admissions usually from September to mid-October.
Parents should also complete a separate Main School Application Form, which is available after a child’s 3rd Birthday (available on this page or from the Main School office). This form should be returned to school. Offers of places will be issued by Bolton Authority before Easter, once agreed by the Governing Body as Admissions Authority.
The school’s admission policy operates when the number of applicants exceeds 30. A copy of the admission policy is available on this page.
Arrangements will be made for children to visit the school in the summer term before they start in September. The process for starting school will be outlined at a meeting for new parents towards the end of the summer term.
