St. Thomas Voluntary Aided Church of England Primary School is situated in the district of Westhoughton and is part of the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton.
The modem school building is of single-story design with seven individual classrooms and adjacent teaching areas. There are two well-stocked libraries, a food technology room, an ICT suite and a spacious hall. This is used for Worship, assemblies. PE. drama and music, and as a dining hall.
The building was designed with the dual function of church and school in mind. An area adjacent to the hall incorporating a chancel and altar is opened for use on Sundays and for special services throughout the year.
There is a purpose-built Nursery on the site, which opened in September 1993.
The school is pleasantly set in its own well-maintained grounds. It has separate playgrounds for Nursery. Infants and Juniors and a large grassed area for games and sports.
